Frank Phillips College Lunch & Learn

Frank Phillips College hosted a lunch learn event for students who need jobs in the tri-city area (Borger, Fritch and Stinnett). This provided an opportunity to talk to the students about FPC certificate programs which helps to take the fear out of doing college coursework. It gave them resources to help them to learn how to pay for classes, and they were able to speak directly to the hiring managers of some local businesses such as Phillips 66, Chevron, Cenveo, and Xcel Energy. The purpose is to help students become workforce-ready so that they have valuable knowledge to help with employability. The students were also able to interact with FPC professors for the I&E, P&E, and welding programs as well as tour the facilities.
